"Subprime mortgage activity grew an average 25% a year from 1994 to 2003, outpacing the rate of growth for prime mortgages. The industry accounted for about $330 billion, or 9%, of U.S. mortgages in 2003, up from $35 billion a decade earlier." ~USA Today 2004
Clinton Started it, Bush followed through with it because he was too worried about being unpopular (hahaha now) by telling minorities that they could no longer get subsidized loans.
Banks loved them because even if people didn't pay they were backed by the Government. Now we are in the mess that we are in and let's not forget the whole liberal mentality that "we are entitled to houses, cars, birth control, college education, health care"
Guess what guys, the free ride is OVER, we can no longer afford to support people unwilling to go out there and take a bite of the American dream.
Both parties have failed us miserably, just look at the oil embargo back in the 70's....why the hell are we still using foreign oil? We should have been off of it at LEAST 10 years ago.....we never learn our lesson. You cannot blame that on one party because both parties have been in office the last 20-30 years.
Take your blinders off Mr. Liberal and wake up, you (and the right wingers that hate the left) are the cause of this problem, you are too busy drinking the Kool-Aid to see both parties are screwing you....and they are laughing at you because you are too busy fighting amongst yourselves about which party is at fault and which party is better!
"No my party is better, no my party is better, no your a fascist, no your party is a fascist party!"
I swear to god, the dems have no place to talk about fascism when they use racism and brute force to shut out apposing ideas they do not like.
SO go ahead keep blaming the "right wing" people, the real American's know that both parties are the problem.
I am sure Obama's plan of taxing the rich and giving to the poor will work real well for our economy not to mention his health care plan....yep, we will sure be spending less money with his ideas!
LOL
