All of the whinning and crying about bad trade deals, the war in Iraq, high taxes, potential for marshall law, etc., etc., etc. won't solve a thing and neither will writing to your congressman (hey, aren't they a part of the system and therefore a part of the problem?). I am a senior citizen and to the most part my life is over and probrably will not see any meaningful changes before I die, but my children and grandchildren living and working conditions will continue to decline if the power brokers are not stopped. I am not talking about armed rebelion, because that would only cause innocent people to get hurt and cause more problems than it would solve. The only way the average citizen can help make the necessary changes is to be willing to make short term sacrificies for long term improvement. Voting in elections only adds to the control that the 2 political parties have on the rest of us, I quit voting several elections ago because I knew that it was a waste of time and the cost of gas just to get to the polling place. No, the only way to stop these power brokers who are selling us down the river for their own financial and political gain is with our wallets. First we must DEMAND that our elected leaders start doing what they are suppose to do or we need to commit to a national tax strike. If we refuse to go to work for a week the government can't collect income tax and we won't be driving so no gas tax... see what I getting at? If they don't listen then we go farther and not pay our credit card payments, mortgage payments, car payments and other credit payments for a month and this will create a serious problem in the banking industry which will filter back to the FED. They can't forclose on every mortgage or repossess every car. I didn't say it would be easy but it will be necessary if we want our children and grandchildren to have an America that it once was. God Bless America, the real America.

This idea is just like the gas strike email I see from time to time. "Everyone don't buy gas on the 3rd to hurt the oil companies!" Not enough people will do it and innocent could still get hurt. It is also like saying to stop voting, like it matters either way. Right people are just starting to feel the pains the government has placed on us. Now the country is selling out and borrowing from foreign lands, including our enemies. We have been trained to be a docile and complacent people. However, my hope is that as more of our civil liberties are lost citizens will wake up and incite read change. As long as we have a 2 party system we will loose. As long as we have the 2 parties we have our situation will keep getting worse. People are afraid to vote outside of these 2 parties and so we can never get any real new ideas. We rally and we protest and they talk like they care to get us to shut up. I agree, I have written my congressman and I got a letter back letting me know he did not care for my opinion. I should expect that, his opinion was why I did not vote for him.
