Our country is deeper in debt than ever before, but still the Democrat controlled United States Congress, with the approval of the Republican President – both parties slaves of the International Mega corporations- pour $460 Billion down the military industrial rat hole this week. We should all be aware that this does nothing toward funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the money for those debacles will be added on later.
Our bridges are falling down on our heads, our schools are pathetic, our healthcare is too expensive and isn’t as good as that in other countries; life for the American middle class and workers becomes more problematic by the hour. We could use that $460 billion to help rebuild the lives of the people of the US. No other country in the world spends for the military at this level, so why should we.
All this adds up to one fact both the Democratic and Republican parties have to go. They are sold heart and soul to the big money interest and don’t give a damn about the American people. The only thing that will save our country is a strong third party movement.
