Automobiles are transporting fewer college students to school, but instead driving up the attendance of non-traditional Internet courses, according to The International Herald Tribune. Since last year, colleges have noticed a 50 percent to 100 percent enrollment increase for summer classes. Much of the demand stems from two-year colleges, where most students are commuters.
