Reforming our economy must be a priority for all the candidates running for the presidency. As Americans, we should not tolerate ‘lip service’ to important issues like the national debt, unfair trade agreements, and our manufacturing base that can’t compete. We need a president who offers real solutions to fix these problems. As citizens, we are responsible to send the message that if the candidates don’t have a plan to turn around our economy than they will not receive our vote.

Here’s this my proclamation
For a wealth producing nation
The kind of nation that we used to be
When the whole world was inspired,
We were envied and admired
And we boasted of our self-sufficiency

We out-produced and led the world
We even clothed and fed the world
Rebuilt nations after the Second World War
And isn’t this an ironic switch
Our companies that made us rich
They’re going fast! We’re selling out the store!

Now we buy what we used to sell
Products we once produced so well
With all the profits going to foreign lands

We must reverse the trends I see
Toward foreign Dependency
And buy what we can make with our own hands!

We must invest our energies
In modern hi-tech industries
And subsidize our manufacturing base
I pledge that as your candidate
I’ll educate and motivate
To restore America to its prominent place!
